WELCOME
Hi, I’m Sim, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). I know reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step. My hope is to offer a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted—a space where you don’t have to carry everything on your own.
Many of us become very good at getting on with life while carrying much more beneath the surface. You may be navigating anxiety, stress, grief, difficult past experiences, relationship challenges, life transitions, struggles with boundaries or self-esteem, or simply feeling stuck or disconnected from yourself. You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what’s wrong or what you want to work on. We can start wherever you are.
I believe healing happens through safe, meaningful connection. Rather than trying to “fix” who you are, our work is about getting curious about your experiences, understanding patterns that may have helped you cope, reconnecting with your strengths, and finding a way forward that feels authentic to you.
I welcome and affirm people of all backgrounds, identities, cultures, faiths, abilities, relationship structures, sexual orientations, and gender identities. Whoever you are and wherever you’re coming from, you deserve to be met with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Experience & Background
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent more than fifteen years working in Human Resources as a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR). I was always especially drawn to the human side of the work—supporting people through stress, change, conflict, and difficult periods in their lives. Those experiences shaped my appreciation for the complexity of people and relationships and eventually became part of the path that led me to counselling.
My approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, relational, and attachment-based. I draw from somatic and Adlerian approaches, parts work informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), and attachment theory, including the developmental attachment perspective of Dr. Gordon Neufeld. I integrate these and other evidence-informed approaches according to each person’s needs rather than following a single formula. Sessions may involve conversation and reflection, or we may pay more attention to emotions, body sensations, nervous-system responses, relationship patterns, or different parts of yourself. Together, we decide what feels useful, comfortable, and appropriate for you.
I also incorporate the Trauma Regulation Integration Process (TRIP) when appropriate. TRIP offers another way of exploring how past experiences may continue to show up in our emotions, bodies, relationships, and responses in the present. The process is collaborative and emphasizes regulation, compassion, choice, and permission throughout the work.
My international work and life experiences have also shaped how I practise. They have deepened my appreciation for cultural complexity and my understanding of experiences related to identity, belonging, immigration, family and intergenerational patterns, and living between cultures.
A Little More About Me
My story began in Türkiye and, later in life, took me to Canada. I’ve always been fascinated by languages and cultures, and I love discovering the different ways people connect, communicate, and make sense of the world.
Outside the counselling room, I’m a mom, lifelong swimmer and ocean lover, yoga enthusiast, devoted coffee drinker, and someone who rarely passes up a chance to dance or sing along to a good song. I’m also a sun lover—I consider sunshine one of my favourite forms of regulation.
Welcome
Hi, I’m Tiffany, a registered clinical counsellor, dedicated to supporting you as you navigate the complexities of your internal world and the heavy lifting of life transitions.
If you’re feeling off, stuck, or unsure where to start, therapy can be a space to breathe and feel more like yourself again. My approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply grounded in the present moment. I believe that healing happens through the connection we build together, creating a space that welcomes and honours every part of you and whatever emotions arise along the way. Sometimes, the most important work we do is simply celebrating what is already there, starting with the immense courage it takes to show up and be seen. In our sessions, collaborative means we figure things out together. You don’t have to show up with all the answers and I won’t just sit back and nod. We are active partners in this process.
Being emotionally focused means we tune into the feelings underneath your words, the ones that fuel the patterns you might feel stuck in. Rather than circling the same stories, we go to the emotional root so you aren’t just talking about change, but actually moving toward it. Because I am grounded in the present moment, we pay close attention to what’s happening right here: your tone, your body language, and the wisdom of your nervous system. These real time moments often hold the key to shifts that words alone can’t reach.
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), I work exclusively withindividual adults. My practice is primarily informed by Accelerated Experiential Dynamic
Processing (AEDP), but I also integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). This toolkit allows us to work multimodally, addressing the parts of you that feel conflicted while using brain body processing to release stored tension and trauma. I have extensive experience in trauma work, supporting clients through anxiety, depression, and the impact of difficult past experiences. My goal is to create a secure, neuro affirming space where you can move past defensive loops and reconnect with your innate capacity for resilience.
I am a firm believer that play is a vital part of being human. When I’m not working, I’m usually at home with my partner, our dogs, and our chubby cat. I am a hobby enthusiast, and outside of work, my days include reading, crafting, performing improv comedy, and learning to play the guitar. I bring this same appreciation for rhythm, creativity, and the importance of coming home to oneself into every session I facilitate.
